building block for customer solutions. Cartridges offer greater
reliability in eliminating potential single points of failure,
resulting in easier servicing, and fewer moving parts compared
to stack designs. Any service needs can be accomplished quickly
and easily by simply swapping out one cartridge for another,
while the unit continues to create power.
In addition to providing superior reliability and ease of
use, our unique cartridge-based architecture minimizes the
vulnerability to damage of the proton exchange membranes.
The inherent advantages of this design include self-hydration,
air cooling and the ability to operate at low pressures.
ReliOn's Modular Cartridge Technology® provides our engineers
with ultimate flexibility in designing fuel cell systems that
are industry and application specific – from 500 Watts
to 5 kilowatts.
